FAQ's
Q) What is your background? How did you become a hair and make up artist?
A) Please see the About page for an insight into my make up artistry history and experience.
Q) What make up brands do you use?
A) I use a large variety of professional makeup brands to suit all races, ages and skin types. My extensive kit includes MAC, NARS, Bobbie Brown, Make up Forever, Kryolan and many more to ensure only the best durability and make up application.
Q) How will I know the products you use on me are clean?
A) Personal and product hygiene is very much top of my priority list during make up application. I will always carry out necessary hygiene measures to avoid cross contamination, I will only ever use clean make up brushes on the skin and always ensure my products are sanitised infront of my clients after the completion of each and every make up application.
Q) Have you worked on many weddings before?
A) Yes, on average I take on 55-65 weddings per year.
Q) Will you travel to my location?
A) Yes, I travel worldwide. There may be a travel and parking expenses charge depending on your location, this would be calculated at the time of processing your customised quote.
Q) I'm getting married, will my make up last all day and night?
A) Absolutely, the products used in my wedding make up kit are all long wearing and water resistant. There are specific products and techniques used to ensure the best durability on your wedding day, even in the hottest climates!
Q) I'm thinking of getting clip in hair extensions, have you ever worked with them before? Will you be able to style them?
A) Yes, I have attached and styled many clip in hair extensions over the years. Please ensure your hair extensions are 100% human hair to allow all heated appliances to be used to style your hair into your desired result.
Q) I never really wear make up and I'm worried about not looking like myself on my wedding day, is it necessary to wear heavy make up?
A) Not at all, my priority is to ensure you feel comfortable and confident within the way you look whilst looking photo ready at the same time. Sometimes the most natural make up looks require the use of many products but this doesn't mean to say they will look or feel heavy on the skin.
Q) When should I book?
A) The sooner the better, bookings are taken 1-2 years in advance. Due to the high volume of enquiries received on a daily basis I cannot predict how long dates will stay available for.
Q) Do you have experience with Mature/Acne/Ethnic/Rosacea skin types?
A) Of course! I am a highly professionally trained and experienced make up artist, knowing how to work with various skin tones and types is essential knowledge as a make up artist. I carry a various range of professional products to compliment every race and age as well as hide any imperfections you may wish to hide.
Q) Will my wedding hair last all day?
A) Yes! There are many tools, techniques and products to ensure the longest durability throughout your wedding day.
Q) I can't decide which hairstyle or make up look will best suit me, is this something you can help me with?
A) Absolutely! I always advise clients to bring along to their appointment any pictures of hair and make up designs they may like to wear, during the consultation we will take a look at these pictures together and I will advise what styles would work best to compliment your face.
